The month of February is filled with ideas of love and romance. While you are looking for ways to share your love, remember to take care of your HEART. A good place to begin is to know your blood pressure. What is YOUR normal? Do you run high? Do you run low? Is your blood pressure trending high or trending low? A practical way to monitor your blood pressure is to get an automatic cuff at Amazon or Walmart. Write down the day and time, and what your blood pressure is reading. If you have any questions or concerns, you can make an appointment with your doctor and bring your blood pressure log with you.
Stress, salt intake, anxiety, weight gain, and medications can affect your blood pressure. To help you get a jumpstart on your heart health, Assured Nursing Solutions is available this month to come to your community to offer complimentary blood pressure checks.
